Kevin DeVore is a criminal defense attorney with his office located in Woodbury, Minnesota. Kevin has extensive courtroom experience defending his clients in state and federal court. He has tried to verdict more than 75 jury trials and has also handled numerous court trials and evidentiary hearings throughout his career. As a legal defense fund lawyer for the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association (MPPOA) since 2022, Kevin has also had the pleasure of working with law enforcement officers and first responders in critical incident matters.

Since 1996, Kevin has defended his clients in state and federal court against some of the toughest charges in the criminal system, including murder, drugs, assault, fraud, embezzlement, and sex crimes. After a quarter century of hard work and dedication to the defense of his clients, Kevin has developed strong relationships with Judges and prosecutors across the State. As a result, Kevin can obtain exceptional results for his clients.  

Kevin was one of the first attorneys certified by the Minnesota State Bar Association as a Criminal Law Specialist and has been serving as the board chair since 2023. Kevin has also been selected by his peers as a Super Lawyer ® every year since 2004. He is licensed to practice in Minnesota (State and Federal Courts), Wisconsin (State Court), and North Dakota (Eastern District Federal Court). Kevin is also a member of the Federal Defender’s CJA Panel, Minnesota Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and Minnesota Society of Criminal Justice.

Kevin received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN, in 1991. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the William Mitchell College of Law, St. Paul, MN in 1996. Kevin is a member of the University of St. Thomas Athletic Hall of Fame (inducted 2004). At UST, Kevin played offensive guard in football and was selected to the All-America team twice (1990 and 1991), All-MIAC three times (1989-1991), and was the Offensive Team MVP in 1991.
